The Urban Neighbors Sighting Log of New York City Wildlife

To inspire New Yorkers and visitors to further investigate the fascinating and often overlooked local fauna with whom they share their city, the sighting log below invites you to record your observations of selected New York City wildlife.

You may add an entry to the sighting log of an animal you have observed in New York City. You may also browse the sighting log by animal, borough, park or natural area, and/or habitat.

Just as the exhibition Urban Neighbors presents a representative sample of animals to be found in the city, so too the log is not comprehensive but rather solicits information on selected animals that may be observed within the city's borders. Animals with accompanying images are featured in the exhibition portion of this website.
